Military wives have to be strong. Look at all we go thru with moving place to place, children, not seeing our own family as much, constantly looking for a new friend where you now live... then our spouse deploys. Of course we knew what we were signing up for in the beginning but it gets real wants it happens. Questions that will always be there. Is he safe? Mommy where is daddy now? Is this going to affect the children later? How do I handle everything while he's gone?
Like I said we have to be strong and have faith. We have a job here at home that is just as important as the deployment, we have our kids.
During the day I try to stay busy, chores around the house, errands still to run, diapers to change, walks to go on, friends to chat with. Yet at night is when the loneliness sets in. The kids are asleep so the house is quiet, less outside noise to listen in on and no husband sleeping in the bed next to me.
